NFL Playoff Match Ups

The NFL Playoff match ups are all set, and the focus now shifts to the postseason. 4 big games and at least one major rivalry gets renewed and maybe more in the making...

2014/2015 NFL Wild Card Weekend

NFC Wild Card Games

1) Saturday 4:35PM: Arizona Cardinals @ Carolina Panthers

To kick off the wild card weekend, the first game on Saturday, in the NFC, has the slumping Arizona Cardinals traveling east to face off against the Carolina Panthers. The Cardinals have not been the same since their star running back, Andre Ellington and quarterback, Carson Palmer, were both lost for the season.

On the other hand, the Carolina football team has been rolling "W's" of late, winning their last 4 games. Carolina seems to have the edge in all of the offensive categories and the all important home field advantage. The last time these two teams met was in 2013 (Arizona won 22-6).

OUR PREDICTION: Carolina Wins 21-17

2) Sunday 4:40PM: Detroit Lions @ Dallas Cowboys

The other match up in the NFC, has the Detroit Lions heading to the Lone Star state to butt heads with the Dallas Cowboys. In what we believe will be a very high scoring game, became even more of a reality when Detroit was dealt a huge blow to it's defensive line.

BREAKING NEWS out of the Commissioner's office! NDAMUKONG SUH appeals his suspension and will play in Sunday's playoff game!

Suh's punishment could not come at a worse time for the Lions. Their defensive line is nasty and stifling and they have their hands full with DeMarco Murray. They will still need to neutralize the NFC's finest offensive line but might come up short.

OUR PREDICTION: Dallas Wins 38-31

AFC Wild Card Games

3) Saturday 8:15PM Baltimore Ravens @ Pittsburgh Steelers

One of the nastiest rivalries in the NFL gets renewed on Saturday night when the Baltimore Ravens line up to play the Pittsburgh Steelers. These two teams met twice this season, splitting the games (Baltimore won week 2, Pittsburgh won week 9). However, a major injury might have changed the outcome of the game, a week early. The Steelers might have taken a hit when their star running back left the Week 17 game with an apparent knee injury.

Although Ben Roethlisberger is a proven winner and Super Bowl Champion, but Pittsburgh's hopes might be slim if Bell is unable to suit up. The Steelers are especially thin at tailback because Legarette Blount was cut mid-season. The Ravens have had their own issues at running back this season as the Ray Rice story made headlines. In the meanwhile, his replacement, Justin Forsett, had a breakout, and career year, rushing for 1266 yards.

OUR PREDICTION: Baltimore Wins 31-28

4) Sunday 1:05PM: Cincinnati Bengals @ Indianapolis Colts

Over in the AFC, the Cincinnati Bengals head approximately 100 miles to Indianapolis to face the Colts. Andy Dalton has his chance to shine in another big game and most importantly in the playoffs. His team will be counting on him to make good decisions. He had a career low 19 touchdowns this past season.

Andrew Luck lead the league with 40 touchdowns but also turned the ball over too many time (16 interceptions, 8 fumbles. He's an elite quarterback and without a very good running game or defense, there will be a lot of pressure will be on his shoulders. Indy won the first and only meeting of these two teams 27-0 earlier this season

OUR PREDICTION: Indianapolis Wins 28-17
